Wedding weekend in Buffalo!

I'm a little behind in posting this - seeing as how now it's been over a month ago!  Allison ended up coming down to VA for Easter!  She was off starting on Thursday, so she made her way to Pittsburgh for a couple of days & then came down here on Saturday.  We had a fun couple of days hanging out with her!  And it was fun having her here for Easter.  We went to Church in the morning, and then did brunch with our neighbors, which is always good times!  After brunch, we did an Easter egg hunt in our backyard for the kids, and then just hung out with everyone.  Ended up doing pizza for dinner since we ate a lot, and were pretty busy all afternoon.

Monday we hung out here, We made our way into Old Town, and went to the Tot Lot, although the boys didn't enjoy it as much because they got rid of all the rideable toys!

Tuesday we hit the road for Buffalo!  Uneventful drive once we made it past Fairfax - we hit an accident & traffic, which caused Ben to get sick, but were smooth sailing after that.  I really enjoyed being home for a couple of days without many plans, although we did seem to be pretty busy everyday!  Tuesday for dinner we walked to Pautler's.  (That was 1 of Jim's 3 birthday requests in Buffalo, he wanted to go to the 2 Pautler's, the other 1 being Paula's donuts, and then Chuck E Cheese!)  Good walk down, boys loved their ice cream after dinner!

Okay, maybe we hit the road on Wednesday?  I'm missing a day in here!  Or maybe Wednesday was just a day where we stayed at home - the boys got to play.  We didn't have any major plans, just able to enjoy sitting around, relaxing, and playing!

Thursday we did some more birthday celebrating - going to Paula's donuts in the AM...then Jim opening up his birthday gifts...The girls went & got their nails done & the boys stayed at home with Papa!  We wanted to go out to dinner, but when we called to make reservations they didn't have a table for all of us until 8:00, so we ended up grilling hot dogs & burgers at home, which I think was just as fun!  We all sang Happy birthday to Jim with his Zuma cake!

Friday mom & Allison had to go downtown to take care of a couple of things for the wedding, Ashley had an appointment, and once we were all done with that we made our way to Chuck E Cheese for Jim's birthday!  (Gotta love that we are all getting ready to go, say we will meet everyone there, and then once we get there get a text from R saying that they aren't going to be able to make it - B had to eat, and B had to nap.  I really couldn't believe it!!!  We had all talked about it, and agreed that this would be a good time to go, if we went for lunch it would give us enough time to come home to get the boys down for a nap before rehearsal...Not really sure what changed their minds, but it did kind of hurt knowing that they couldn't come celebrate with Jim!  It'd of been one thing if I set the time, but we talked about it together!  I got over it, and made sure Jim & Ben had a good time!)

Mark had made his way to Buffalo & was home when we got done at Chuck E Cheese.  Then it was time to head to Church for rehearsal...then rehearsal dinner - everything went well with that!  And then Saturday was Jim's 5th birthday!!!!  And the wedding, which was good times!  We all got our hair done in the am, Mark hung out with the boys.  Sang happy birthday to Jim with donuts in the morning.

Sunday we got up, Mark was a little slow moving, and we made our way back home for the brunch mom was having.  Ashley was a little hung over!  We hung out for awhile, and then it was time to pack up the car & we made our way to Mark's house.  Doing that saves an hour on our drive home.
