Friday was the 4th, which meant the day off!! Mark & I got up and did a couple of things around the house...and then we went to the gym and hit the road for Erie. The drive up there was pretty long, because of stupid traffic just before Breezewood. It went down to 1 lane, and ended up taking us over 6 1/2 hours to get to Aunt Jane's. Made it there, and they were all eating pizza for dinner, so we had that and hung out there for awhile. Checked into the hotel, and then Ashley, Allison & myself went down to St. Jude's to watch some fireworks. Met up with Liz, Jessica, Uncle Rick, Aunt Jane, Lexi, & Nicolin there.
Was telling Mark on the way up, this was our 6th 4th of July together...and every year we've done something different. The 1st year I was down here they had a party at 352 Rutgers, and then we went down to the Mall for the fireworks...The following year the family was in town and we went up to Baltimore for fireworks...The year after that we had a party at our place, and attempted to see fireworks in Old Town, but failed...Next year was the 4th out on the Potomac with our neighbors. Last year Greg was in town and we went down to the Marina...but didn't see any fireworks b/c we had to get up to be at work the next morning...and then this year we were in Erie.
Let's see, Saturday morning we got up and met Uncle Rick & Aunt Jane at Butch's for breakfast. Mark & I had rented a car from Enterprise, and the alignment was bad and the wheels were bald, so we decided to call them to see if we couldn't get another car...we were kinda hoping for that since the car we had was pretty uncomfortable. Went to the Enterprise by the mall, and apparently they had no cars to give us, so they told us to take it to Bridgestone & they would take a look at it. We did that, and had Rob & Jenna pick us up at the Mall and we went to Grandma's for a bit to visit with them.
They are both doing well, and we finally got to see their puppies, which are pretty cute :) I think Grandma is pretty happy with Faith, so that's a plus!
After that we drove down to the Public Dock...Which looks a lot different than when I was last down there...and we drove down to the beach for a bit, and headed back up to the hotel to grab stuff and it was off to the reunion. Had a good time there! I think there was a pretty good turn out...Hung out with the family. Ate good food...took some pictures...
jumped on the trampoline...Nana did some dancing with dad & Uncle Albert...
did some keg stands...played some flip cup...played some beer pong...All-in-all it was a good time!! The girls decided to get us all Italian drinking team t-shirts...Here's a group shot of all of us + Mark who didn't really want a shirt.
