Memorial Day Weekend

Been enjoying our nice long weekend...

Friday left work a little early (3:00ish...) and then came home, and was able to watch Oprah! Mark got home early as well, and we ended up meeting Suzanne & Mike at Rustico for dinner and a couple drinks. Good catching up with them! After that we went down to the Marina and hung out there for awhile. Had a very nice night for that!

Saturday we got up and went to the gym...And went for a run on the trail on our way home. We were both pretty tired during the day so we napped, and then got ready to head down to the Nationals Stadium. Met up with Ryan & Kristen and walked around the stadium to see if there was a bar we could get into...But there's nothing around. Apparently they're building stuff right across the street, but won't be ready until next year. Went into the stadium to the bar there and hung out there for awhile. Joanna met up with us as well. The new stadium is pretty cool! That Nationals lost, but it was a good night!

Sunday we got up and hung out for awhile...Mark did a bunch of yard work...We grilled hot dogs for lunch, and then decided to head into the city for Rolling Thunder. It's every Memorial Day weekend and hundreds of thousands of motorcycles come into the city and bike around, honoring all the American veterans. It was pretty neat to see all those bikes biking around the city. We walked from the Navy Memorial, down the Mall, around the reflecting pool, to the Lincoln Memorial and then across the Memorial bridge to the Arlington Metro station. Again we had a very nice day for that! Met up with Ryan for like 5 minutes, but he got there when we were done with everything, so he came over and we grilled burgers for dinner....And enjoyed the nice weather with a couple of beers!

Got one more day to enjoy! Before enjoying a nice short 4-day work week!
