Rainy Weekend

Had a good weekend. It was very nice not having to drive 7 hours on Friday & Sunday!

Friday didn't do anything after work....ran to Target to pick up a couple of things. Then stopped at Safeway to get a pizza for dinner. We stayed in. The 1st presidential debate was on with Obama & McCain, but I couldn't even stay awake to watch that. I guess after a weeks worth of work I'm worn out. Was asleep on the couch by 8:30.

Saturday morning we got up (early seeing that I fell asleep early) and went to the gym. Then stopped at Total Wine & More & we each made our own six-pack, got a 6-pack of Paulaner Hefeweizen, and a 6 pack of Anchor Steam. Our fridge is full of beer now! Got home and did some jobs around the house - laundry, cleaned my bathroom, changed the sheets on the bed. Then Clara called and she came and got me and we went into Old Town for lunch. Had a good time doing that! Syracuse was playing Pitt today (mom & dad & the Moses' used our tickets) and got updates from Allison & Dad. Too bad Syracuse blew an 18-point lead and lost the game. After lunch & shopping came home, Mark was at an eye appointment. He got home from that and then Kristin called. She was at the National Harbor for an Oktoberfest Festival...She ended up coming into Alexandria and we got dinner with her at Southside. Stayed there for another beer, and then called it a night.

Sunday morning got up and went to Church. It was really cute, they always ask all the children to come down for a special blessing and then they go off during the readings to have their own discussions. Father finished the blessing and they were all walking up the aisle, and there was one little boy that missed it, and instead of joining all the other kids he walked all the way down the aisle for his own blessing by Father, and then met up with all the other kids. After Church we went to the gym, and did the Elliptical there...then went grocery shopping...came home and hung out for the rest of the day. I made some sauce & lasagna for dinner...finished up with laundry...cleaned the floors...watched some football...And watched Wild Hogs last night, okay movie.

All in all it was a good weekend!!!
