This was our 3rd & final trip up to Syracuse this past weekend.
We took Friday off of work again. Got up, showered, packed, picked up our rental car, went to the gym, and then hit the road. Allison was going home for the night to help with a party dad was having for some of his co-workers, so we decided to go to Mark's parents for the night. This way we'd save $$ on not having to get a hotel room. Mark's mom was up in Albany, so it was his dad & Chris. (I guess his grandpa had fallen & broke his arm...so now he's in a home getting therapy. So she went to visit him & had some meeting up there Saturday). Anyways, we got into Castile around 5:30. Had dinner & watched a movie. I did my usual falling asleep during it. We got to see the bedroom all redone - which they did a very good job on!
Saturday morning we got up, had breakfast, showered and hit the road for Syracuse. It was a rainy gross day. We stopped on M-Street, Mark still had his gift certificate from Manny's he wanted to use. Ended up getting 2 cushion seats for the football game. Ran up to the grocery store to buy beer, checked into the Genessee Inn, and then Allison came and picked us up, since it was still raining. We ordered Dorian's for lunch...then played some power hour. I made it through all 60 shots, but had to cheat a little bit....used a smaller shot glass, and partway through I couldn't do full shots, so I was doing 1/2 shots - but I still did 60 shots. Hung out there for awhile, had a couple more beers. Jim came over & we got to meet his girlfriend Kristen. Then we headed over to the dome for the game. The place was pretty empty - it was kinda sad. We lost to UConn. But had a good time! Didn't do anything after the game. We were all tired & full, and it was a 7:00 game, so we were lame & went back to the hotel.
Got up Sunday morning, laid around for awhile, then got ready. Met Allison at Cosmo's for breakfast, and then we were on the road to go home. Drive home was boring. Not looking forward to driving next week for Thanksgiving.
