Had a great Thanksgiving Break!!!
Worked half a day on Wednesday, left a little after 11:00 and headed over to Mark's office. Picked him up and we hit the road a couple minutes after 12:00. The ride up to Mark's parents wasn't that bad. We did hit a little traffic on 270 (glad we didn't leave any later) and a couple spots here and there on 15. But other than that not too bad. We made it up there a little after 7:00. Mark's mom made goulash for dinner so we had that, and then watched the Syracuse game from the night before. We're going to be pretty good this year I think. We beat Florida & Kansas - 2 ranked teams.
Thursday was Thanksgiving (of course). We had Thanksgiving at the VanZandt's this year. Played a little game of Risk in the morning with Mark & his dad. Helped a little with cooking...the Kushner's came over (Mary & Jess weren't around this year...) Ate a lot of good food! They put in the movie The Incredible Hulk, but of course I fell asleep during that.
Friday morning we got up had breakfast, hung out for a bit, and then we hit the road for Buffalo. Got in after 12:00. Started going through all the stuff in my closet. Played some more Risk with Rob, Allison & Jenna (Ashley had to work).

Syracuse was playing Virginia Friday night. Allison was very concerned whether or not the game would be on TV at home. She had called Time Warner and even stopped down there to find out if they were going to be playing it. Sure enough they did! So we watched that, drank beer, and had Buffalo Wild Wings & Domino's for dinner. Was a nerve-wrecking game - we were down by quite a bit the 1st half, but came back and beat them!

Got to meet Chris for the 1st time! He's a nice guy - Allison was annoyed with him though because he didn't talk much to anyone. He was fine though, he talked enough for being in the situation that he was. Ended up playing a little bit of Wii before we called it a night.

Saturday morning got up, mom made breakfast, for the girls + Mark - Dad & Rob went down to the gym. Ashley & I ran to the Desert Deli so she could pick up Dad's desert for later that evening. We hurried home & then drove down to Shea's Theatre for the Rockette's show! Had a good time with that. Brought back memories from when Mom & I would always go to NYC to see it. Warmed up leftovers for lunch & did some more going through of all the stuff in my closet. And before you knew it, it was time to go to Church. After that Rob, Dad, Mark & Ashley went to Best Buy for awhile, and Mom, me, Allison went home to start getting stuff ready for the retirement dinner. (Jenna wasn't feeling well and she had stayed home from Church). Got the decorations up and the appetizers all together, and waited for them to come home. Everything turned out really well, and I think everyone had a good time with it! Rob did a good job cooking the steak...Ashley's desert (a cake decorated with a Cadillac Symbol on it) was a good idea! Dad enjoyed all the gifts. I got him a shirt that said 'I'm Bob, I'm retired, but work part time as a pain in the butt.' When I was cleaning out the closet, I came across the singing trout that I'd given to Dad years ago, so Mark re-gifted and gave that back to him. Everyone loved that. Allison got him a bobble head with an old guy sitting on the toilet that said 'Retired & Enjoying life's simple pleasures.' Ashley got him a book, and a shirt with her face on it, pretty funny. And Rob got him gag gifts for him & mom to enjoy. All in all a great day! And it ended pretty good too. Chris came to pick up Allison, and as she was pulling out of the driveway she noticed a bunch of cows sitting in our yard. So she called us up and we all went outside to check it out - 'Holy Cow Bob's Retiring.' It was great!!! And well worth the $$.

Sunday morning got up, showered, mom cooked breakfast again. We packed up the car. Got all of us to go outside and take pictures with the cows. And then we hit the road. We got on the road around 9:40 and made it home just after 6:00.
