Homecoming Weekend

We made our way back up to the 'Cuse this weekend for homecoming weekend. Had a pretty good time up there! We took the day off on Friday. Mark spent the morning taking care of a bunch of yard work. We hit the road once he was done with all of that, a little bit before noon. We stopped in Rockville to pick up Marissa, and then we were off to Syracuse. The drive up wasn't bad at all. We didn't hit any traffic, was nice getting out of town a little early! We dropped Marissa off at Will's, and headed over to the hotel. We decided to stay over at Carrier Circle this year - which wasn't bad at all. We save ourselves some money, and since I'm the permanent DD these days, I had no problem with that! Mark & I headed off to Erie Blvd. to get some dinner, while the rest of the gang went to Dinosaur. We had to get Kerri & Ike from the airport at 8:30 and figured Dinosaur would take way too long. Ended up going to Tully's for dinner, and as we were driving to the airport Ike had called, so we had pretty good timing. Went back to Tully's so they could get some dinner, and met up with the rest of the gang at the hotel bar.

Saturday morning we got up, got ready and made our way to Marshall Street. The weather was gorgeous! It was raining all day Friday, and we had thought it was going to rain into Saturday morning, but the sun was shining and was pretty warm out. We stopped at Bruegger's for some breakfast, and then Faegan's so everyone could get a beer or 2 before the game. Allison met up with us on Marshall Street - she came bearing goodies! She bought me an SU Dr. Seuss onesie as well as the baby's 'first orange t-shirt'. And mom got me a couple of maternity tops - which will come in handy pretty soon! Then we made our way to the game. We played USF - and the game started off pretty well, and thought it'd be a pretty exciting game - but then we started throwing a couple interceptions, and it went all down hill from there. It was still a fun game though! We ended up sitting with Kerri & Ike, and the rest of the crew sat across from us in a different section. We stayed until the end of the game and went over to the Sheraton where they had a class of '99 get together. Hung out and chatted with Allison for a bit, and then we made our way over to Chuck's. Allison decided to hit the road (after an awkward Friday night...) and I left with her so I could get her a birthday present. Let her pick out a new top...By the time I got back to Chuck's everyone was pretty much done and ready for some food, so we made our way to Varsity. From there we picked up some beer and ended the night over at Jason's house. Got to see all the Sector's + their significant others. Jessie was up for the weekend visiting - so it was good seeing all them! Mark played a bunch of beer pong - and was pretty tipsy by the end of the night.

Sunday morning we got up. Mark was pretty hungover and not liking life that much. We went down and got some breakfast with Ike, Kerri, Jon, & Cindy - and then we were off. Ike & Kerri decided they were going to take a cab to the airport, so that saved us a trip out there. We stopped on Marshall Street to get Marissa - and then I started to make the drive, while Mark continued to try to sleep off his hangover. The drive home wasn't all that bad. It's always nice to have someone else in the car with you!
