Troll's Cove

This past weekend we went to Maggie & Rolf's parents vacation home. (I guess that's what to call it?) We were debating whether to leave Friday after work or Saturday morning. It was pretty rainy and crappy out Friday when Mark left work, so we decided to go for Saturday morning. We ended up getting pizza from ZPizza for dinner - which was pretty tasty, but a little on the expensive side.

Saturday morning we got up, got ready and hit the road. It was still a little rainy in the morning - went down 95 to Fredricksburg, and then it was all side roads from there. The drive down wasn't bad at all. It took us right about 2 1/2 hours to get there. It was nice, the leaves were all changing, so it made for a colorful ride! We pretty much spent the weekend relaxing! It sucked that it was crappy weather - cold and rainy - if it were nicer we'd of been able to hang outside & even go out on their boat. (Their place is right off of the Rappahannock River, close to where it meets the Potomac - I think they refer to the area as the Northern Neck). Amy & Chris came down a little after us. We taught Maggie how to play some Euchre. They all drank beer, and enjoyed the day! Rolf grilled some ribs for dinner..and everyone was pretty much done after that.

Sunday morning we got up. Rolf & Maggie made some bacon, eggs, and toast for breakfast...Amy & Chris hit the road, and we hung out for a bit longer, and then we were off ourselves. Instead of taking 95, we took 301 back home. Again, it was a nice drive! A little rainy, but we made it back in 2 1/2 hours. We didn't do a whole lot the rest of the day. Made my usual Sunday phone calls. We found out that our credit card number had been stolen. I have a feeling it was at the gas station we stopped at on the way south. They apparently got it and spent $600+ at WalMart. It was good that they caught it, and put a security hold on it.

It was very nice to get away for the weekend, and have nothing to worry about! I'm sure we wouldn't have done much if we stayed home, but it was different being away from home!
