More Vacation - Sunday & Monday

So lets see...Where was I?

Sunday morning we got up & had another hotel breakfast. And then hopped on the train to the central station to catch up with a sightseeing tour. We took one of those Double-Decker buses. Drove through city, and had to take a lot of detours b/c there was an Oktoberfest parade going on. We also drove out & saw Nymphenburg Castle,

Olympic Park:

And some other cool sights around Munich. That pretty much took up the morning/afternoon. We said good-bye to Rob. He had to head to the airport to catch his flight back to London.
We then headed back to the grounds of Oktoberfest, so we could meet back up with Barbara to see if she had any seats available for the evening season. This time we were in the Paulaner tent. And we were able to get a seat, again up on the balcony. We had a great time!!! (Thank you Barbara, Suzanne & Mike!) Just spent the evening enjoying the music, crowds, and beer. Didn't really realize how much I had been drinking, but I was definitely drunk that night! We purchased our Oktoberfest Beer Stein & then headed back to the hotel.

Had a pretty rough time waking up Monday morning. But we managed to be at City Center by 10:30 to meet up for a walking tour on the Third Reich. We had a great tour guide! And learned a lot!
After the tour we headed to the hotel to get our luggage, and took off for the some lunch by the Central Station so we could catch our train to Freiburg. Had no problems with the train ride, and made it to Freiburg with no problems. (Mark & I even had our own little room on the 2nd part of our train ride...) Our hotel was right across from the train station, so that was very handy. We checked in, and got some dinner, and then called it a night.
