I'm ready for warmer weather!!! Mark was off last Monday for MLK day, and we enjoyed the morning in D.C., going to the Natural History Museum. Both boys had a great time, it's fun to take the Metro in, and Jim had a great time going from one dinosaur to another! At this point, Ben had just started to cough again, we made it about a month of being very healthy, the poor guy can't get a break from coughing!
On Tuesday we got snow, it was in the afternoon about 4" or so, but everything was shut down that day. (Okay, everything but Mark's work!) He was sent home at 1:00 though, so an early day with him being home is always nice, and an added plus that it was snowing - we took both boys outside to do some shoveling (and playing over at Parker's!)
Wednesday we went to Charles Houston - they have an open gym in the morning, a good place to have the boys run around and burn off their energy! Had a good time there...Thursday we went to Ted's house - played outside for awhile, and then once the boys got too cold went in. This may had been when the real sickness may have started. She kept on saying how everyone had been sick the past couple of days with some virus - I'm thinking great, why did you invite us over if everyone had been sick? Ugh. Friday we had friends over, so it was a nice busy week!
Friday night we had our neighbors over for drinks...And we really didn't do much over the weekend. Kind of a quite and boring weekend, but those are always enjoyable now and then. Sunday we made a comment that Ben really wasn't getting any better, maybe digressing a bit? Monday morning, I woke up and my eye was crusted shut, and was all pink. Ben was extra snotty, and his eyes didn't seem normal. It was really nice Monday morning, so we went out for a little walk, and the boys played outside for awhile.
Finally decided yesterday to call the doctor, and turns out he had a double ear infection. Hopefully the antibiotics will help clear everything up for him! Like I said, I'm ready for warmer weather...for the germs to go away...and more time to be able to play outside!!
