We went up to the beach this weekend!!! Had a much better drive than we did last year. I think leaving at 7:00 had something to do with it as well. We got up to Kristin's around 9:30, everyone was still asleep, so we hung out on her back porch. Once everyone got up, we had some pancakes for breakfast and then made our way to the beach. Jim did okay with it - there were no tears, so that was a plus. But he really wasn't into the sand or the water. It took him awhile, but he finally got down closer to the water, and enjoyed watching the waves...But we pretty much had to be holding him, he didn't want to get down.
After the beach we went back to Kristin's and hung out there for the rest of the evening. Grilled for dinner...They all drank some beers...Played some games...And that was our day! We were up early on Sunday (by 7:00) so we hit the road. Stopped at Ikea on our way home and picked up a bookshelf for the guest room. Mark put that together as well as our gym floor. So our house is coming together!!!
